چکیده
VRE (all allo), one coagulase-negative staphylococcus (allo), one Corynebacterium jeikeium (allo), one MRSA (auto), and one viridans streptococcus (auto). Conclusion. Prospective screening of all patients admitted for auto and allo HCT at a large tertiary care cancer center with a geographically diverse referral pattern showed low admission prevalence of FQ-R and negligible ESBL and CR carriage. No cases of acquisition were detected. All BSI episodes were due to GP organisms. Knowledge of local epidemiology in high-risk settings can help guide rational antibiotic use. Disclosures. Complete Genome Sequence of Streptococcus agalactiae Serotype III, Multilocus Sequence Type 283 Strain SG-M1
Streptococcus agalactiae (group B Streptococcus) is a common commensal strain in the human gastrointestinal tract that can also cause invasive disease in humans and other animals. We report here the complete genome sequence of S. agalactiae SG-M1, a serotype III, multilocus sequence type 283 strain, isolated from a Singaporean patient suffering from meningitis.

Group B Streptococcus Serotype III Sequence Type 283 Bacteremia Associated with Consumption of Raw Fish, Singapore
We conducted a retrospective study of 40 case-patients and 58 controls as part of a nationwide investigation of a group B Streptococcus outbreak in Singapore in 2015. Eating a Chinese-style raw fish dish (yusheng) was a major risk factor for bacteremia, particularly caused by serotype III sequence type 283.
متن کاملInfective Endocarditis Presenting as Endogenous Endophthalmitis Secondary to Streptococcus agalactiae in a Healthy Adult: Case Report and Literature Review
Endogenous endophthalmitis secondary to group B Streptococcus (GBS) is extremely rare, particularly in healthy adults. However, the visual prognosis is poor. We report the first South Korean case of GBS infective endocarditis presenting as endogenous endophthalmitis and skin and soft tissue infection. Cultures of blood, vitreous humor, and pus from skin aspirates yielded a penicillin-susceptibl...
متن کاملHypervirulent Clone of Group B Streptococcus Serotype III Sequence Type 283, Hong Kong, 1993–2012
We describe a hypervirulent clone of group B Streptococcus serotype III, subtype 4, sequence type 283, that caused invasive disease with a predilection for meningitis in Hong Kong during 1993-2012. The organism is associated with high mortality and increased summer prevalence and is linked to diseased fish from freshwater fish farms.
